Investigator chatter

Okay for anyone visiting here on the forum your probably thinking, "Gee, these guys don't do much" Well that's most likely because you watch alot of Paranormal based T.V. shows. And I'll admit I like watching some of them myself. However, being on the T.V. & actually being an Investigator off screen are a whole world apart.
Paranormal shows are recorded live. T.V. has a whole crew working the scene, not just the Investigators recording the events that are taking place. They have people monitoring the cameras from several angles, and listening to audio feeds for any sounds so that everything that occurs is time stamped and marked to review. They can time stamp it, mark it and then go home or wherever and sleep, then come back and pick up from the markers and go.
Now as for the rest of us out here in the real world, we don't have those sources, sure some of us have extra member's that can watch a multi screen camera system but it's usually only 1 or 2 sets of eyes watching 4 or more screens so things get missed, and the same with audio, extra ears still only hear so much so things can be missed there also. It would be amazing to have all the glam and glitz of the screen but in reality we just don't have those options.
We go out in groups of 2 to 6/8 people with most of us running camera's both still and video, and recorders with and without Spirit boxes and may spend up to 24 hours on some locations. So if you break that down and you just decided it was 2 people running a still camera, & 2 video cameras each (carrying 1 and placing 1 stationary) and they both have 2 recorders 1 set just to record regular audio & the other connected to a Spirit box or other communication device.
Then you need to break just that amount of equipment down, meaning even if they only stayed on site for 2 hours the total time spent collecting evidence (or lack of, which yes it happens) still ends up taking 16 hours of just video & audio review and that doesn't include going through each still photo that they had taken with a fine tooth comb looking for anything unexplained or out of place. And honestly our team takes double shots so if we only take 30 pictures each that still ends up being 120 of them to go through.
Then you have to take into consideration that basically all of us have life's outside just chasing our paranormal life's. We have jobs to go to or children to take care of or both. So then it breaks down to who is able to spend 16 hours watching video and 16 hours listening to audio as well as going through all of the still pictures. My family knows that I love what I do when it comes to my paranormal stuff and their really good about giving me a little time to try and work on doing the behind the scene reviewing. But it's in limited amounts because I have 2 children both under 12 years old and when they want Mom time, they want MOM, not Ghost Hunter Mom. And my children are my first priority.
So when you take all of this into consideration & you really want to think about it even if each person only reviewed their own evidence after 2 hours that would be 16 + hours with just those items listed above. And that isn't including marking anything you see or hear then going back to recheck what you marked. Then going through to resize any photo's that have to large of file or audio that has to be edited to let you hear the original version and then clipped just to the E.V.P. so that you get to hear only that. And then you still have the pictures lol.
And honestly, there aren't alot of our Investigation's posted on the forum, some because I just haven't had time to add them or because all of the ones we do are 100% confidential so we don't release any information without permission. So alot of our clients would rather not have anyone knowing that they've been involved with having a paranormal investigation done at their home or business establishment. The same with some of the other locations we get called to, we've done cemeteries, historical sites, certain parks you name it & the same thing goes, we may have been asked to investigate but if they want it off the record then it stays that way.
Word of mouth goes a long way, if your lf*cky enough to become an established group and people are calling on you to help, then you want to be as professional as you can be & build a good name for your group. If you follow the rules then those people know that your trust worthy & even if your not talking you know they are at some time so word gets around and your name gets out there the right way. And if your truly doing this for the right reasons and are really out there to help people then that's what your striving for. Not for 10 minutes of Fame because you got to go to (XYZ) & meet or shake hands with whoever because if that's all your doing it for then your probably not going to be doing it long because you will realize that it really isn't all fun & games.
Not to mention that if you should go to a location and you have the wrong attitude, and aren't seriously prepared to deal with the possibility of having a true experience with the paranormal then you are potentially putting not just yourself but the client and everyone else who is with you in a VERY BAD SITUATION. This is just one of other things that you have to take into consideration before you decide to tackle this field. Do you really know what you could be getting yourself and other people into? I'm going to tell you straight up, Yes SPIRITS exist, Yes GHOST exist, & Yes DEMONS exist. If you want to have that encounter then make sure your prepared for it.
I've talked to lots of other people who have dabbled in the field of being a Paranormal Investigator or Ghost Hunter who really thought it was all just bullsh*t and found out the hard way. I've seen it happen time & time again in real life and I can't help but laugh because it's common sense, your going out looking for something that you don't understand or don't know anything about and then as soon as you run into what your looking for then hopefully with any lf*ck your actually able to be running out the door hoping you remembered to pack clean drawers and nobody caught it on camera and if your not so lf*cky thinking you wished you'd never gotten involved to begin with.
But I will be completely honest I have to say that my all time favorite thing to ever witness was when the T.V. series Ghost Hunter's came on and I was laughing so hard I was almost crying when them boys were at Eastern State Penitentiary & Brian H. yelled "DUDE RUN", it might have all just been for ratings on that show. But I can tell you he didn't look like he was chasing ratings, I was watching his face for tears and his jeans for soup. But okay enough I guess I got a little off topic, but I hope my rattling was at least somewhat informational to help you understand a little more about how this stuff all works. And if it was let me know, who knows maybe we'll meet up somewhere along the line and can compare notes
Have a safe one & a good one,
